Narrative Synopsis
Five years after Thanos obliterated half of all life, the surviving Avengers assemble once more to execute a "Time Heist" through the Quantum Realm and restore the fallen universe.
WHY SHOULD I WATCH THIS?
The greatest payoff in superhero cinema. Concludes the 23-movie Infinity Saga, establishes the Quantum Realm rules for time travel, and passes the mantle to new champions.
WHAT SHOULD I REMEMBER?
- Five-year time jump (The Blip) profoundly damages society and human psyche.
- Quantum Realm allows travel into past timeline branches (not changing their own past).
- 2012 Loki escapes with the Tesseract, sparking the Loki Disney+ series.
- Natasha sacrifices herself for the Soul Stone; Tony Stark snaps Thanos's army away and dies.
- Steve Rogers returns the stones, lives a full life with Peggy in an alternate timeline, and passes the shield to Sam Wilson.
WHAT DOES THIS CONNECT TO?
- Launches the Multiverse Saga directly via 2012 Loki's escape.
- Sam Wilson becomes Captain America.
