THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE MAP
Prior to the Multiverse Saga, Marvel properties were fragmented across separate film studios. Today, every reality—from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man to Fox’s X-Men and the TVA—is cataloged as an authentic parallel universe.
Earth-616 (The MCU Sacred Timeline)
Sacred TimelineThe primary continuity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe where the Infinity Saga unfolded. Once isolated and manicured by He Who Remains' TVA to prevent multiversal war, it is now an open branch vulnerable to Incursions.
The nexus point of modern Marvel Studios storytelling. Its defenders have caused multiple multiversal rifts, triggering incursion risks with Earth-838 and adjacent realities.
Earth-838 (The Illuminati Reality)
Branch RealityA technologically advanced reality where the Illuminati (Reed Richards, Charles Xavier, Captain Carter, Black Bolt, Captain Marvel Maria Rambeau, and Karl Mordo) governed global peace after executing their own corrupt Doctor Strange.
Introduced the mechanics of Incursions to Earth-616 Strange. Suffered catastrophic loss when Wanda Maximoff dreamwalked and slaughtered its ruling council.
Earth-10005 (The Fox X-Men Continuity)
Legacy TimelineThe 24-year continuity of the 20th Century Fox X-Men films. It witnessed the original mutant struggle, the temporal revision of Days of Future Past, the rise of Deadpool, and the heartbreaking death of its Anchor Being, Wolverine.
Formally integrated into the Marvel Studios Multiverse via the TVA. Saved from temporal decay by Deadpool and a redeemed Wolverine variant using the Time Ripper.
Earth-96283 (Sam Raimi Spider-Man Universe)
Legacy TimelineThe universe of Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man trilogy (2002–2007). In this reality, Peter Parker developed organic webbing, fought Norman Osborn, Doc Ock, and Sandman, and married Mary Jane Watson.
Its villains and veteran Spider-Man were pulled across dimensional barriers into Earth-616 during Strange's runaway memory spell in No Way Home.
Earth-120703 (Marc Webb Amazing Spider-Man Universe)
Legacy TimelineThe universe of Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man films (2012–2014). Defined by Peter Parker's grief following the traumatic death of Gwen Stacy at the hands of the Green Goblin.
Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man found emotional redemption in Earth-616 by saving MJ from a catastrophic fall, completing his heroic healing.
Earth-688 (Sony's Spider-Man Universe / SSU)
Branch RealityThe cinematic universe produced by Sony Pictures featuring Venom, Morbius, Kraven the Hunter, and Madame Web. Spider-Man has not been seen actively operating in this timeline.
Eddie Brock and Venom briefly crossed into Earth-616 in No Way Home, leaving behind an active drop of the alien symbiote before returning home.
Earth-1610 (The Animated Spider-Verse)
Branch RealityThe vibrant, comic-print animated universe of Miles Morales. Connected to the Web of Life and Destiny through Miguel O'Hara's Spider-Society in Nueva York (Earth-928).
Introduced the concept of "Canon Events" and the Web of Life and Destiny. Features live-action cameos connecting it directly to Donald Glover's Prowler and Mrs. Chen from Venom.
The Void (At the End of Time)
Pocket Realm / Null-TimeA desolate wasteland located at the absolute terminus of the timeline where the TVA dumps everything it prunes. Roamed by the devouring temporal tempest Alioth.
The universal graveyard for discarded realities and variants. Served as Cassandra Nova's personal kingdom and the proving ground for Deadpool and Wolverine.
The TVA & Yggdrasil World Tree
Pocket Realm / Null-TimeLocated entirely outside of time and space, where magic and Infinity Stones have zero power. Presided over at its center by Loki, the God of Stories holding the infinite multiversal branches.
The neurological command center of the entire Marvel Multiverse. Without Loki continuously infusing his magic into the branches, all reality withers away.
Earth-Retro (The Fantastic Four Universe)
Branch RealityA retro-futuristic alternate timeline reflecting the aesthetic optimism of the 1960s with advanced cosmic technology. Home to Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm.
The native universe of the MCU's main Fantastic Four. Destined to collide or displace into the main multiverse ahead of Avengers: Doomsday.
