THE TWO GREAT MARVEL SAGAS
Everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe belongs to either The Infinity Saga or The Multiverse Saga. Compare their core artifacts, conflicts, and resolutions.
The Infinity Saga
The historic first era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe spanning 23 interconnected films. It traces the rise of modern superheroes, the assembly of the Avengers, and Thanos's relentless crusade to collect all six primordial Infinity Stones to purge fifty percent of all universal life.
The philosophical and physical struggle between mortal champions defending free will and Thanos's tyrannical calculus to preserve cosmic equilibrium through universal decimation.
The Multiverse Saga
The boundary-shattering second era of the MCU. Triggered by the liberation of the Sacred Timeline and mystical disruptions, infinite alternate realities, variants, and legacy cinematic universes (Sony Spider-Man, Fox X-Men, Fantastic Four) collide as the fabric of existence faces extinction through Incursions.
Universal boundaries are breaking down. When two universes collide (an Incursion), both are utterly destroyed. While variants and factions clash, Victor Von Doom emerges with the ruthless ambition to save existence by forging an autocratic new order.
